Bardia National Park was established in 1988 making it a largest National Park in Terai region with an area of 968 sq km. With vast stretches of forest and savannah grasslands it is home to vast number of wildlife. Together with its neighbouring Banke National Park, Bardia National Park protects one of the Asia’s largest Tiger habitats. It is surrounded by Siwalik Hills to the north, Geruwa River to the west, Karnali River to the east and Babai River to the south. With Ample amount of supplements from these rivers the Bardia National Park is flourished with diverse vegetation and wildlife. Bardia National Park consists of 30 species of Mammals, more than 250 species of Birds, including the endangered Bengal florican and sarus crane and healthy number of one horned rhinoceros, Elephant bulls’ ands Tigers. The park also has cobras, Kraits and Pythons. Tourists can also spot gangetic dolphins, marsh mugger, gharials while taking a canoe or rafting trip down the geruwa and karnali River. Elephant and Jeep safari offer exciting and up-close view of wildlife in Bardiya National Park and if you are lucky, one has the highest chance to spot a tiger in Bardia National Park. On our visit to Bardia National Park, apart from the National park tour we will also visit the crocodile breeding center, park visitors center and Tharu cultural museum.Although it hasn’t shone in the spotlight like Chitwan National Park, Bardia National park holds a fair share of natural and wildlife diversity in Nepal.

Itinerary Detail
Day-1
On Your arrival at Nepalgunj Airport or Ambasa Stand, our staff will receive you. You will then be transferred to our Lodge where you will be offered refreshment & be given a briefing on our lodge & its facilities. After being given your programs for the day, your room will then be allocated to you.
15.00 – Village tour to a nearby ethnic Tharu village where you will learn more about the life and lifestyle of the Tharus.
20.00 – Dinner
Day-2
06.00 – Wake up call
06.30 – Breakfast.
07.30 – We go for a Elephant Safari. An excellent opportunity to see Asian Elephant, Great One Horn Rhinoceros, Spotted Deer or Chital, Hog Deer, Barking Deer, Samber, Swamp Deer or Barasingha, Nilgai or Bull, Black Buck, Wild Boar, Royal Bengal Tiger, Leopard, Wild Dog, Golden Jackal, Striped Hyena. You will also encounter many other smaller mammals that have made Bardia their home. Visit to Crocodile Breeding Center, Park Visitors Center & Tharu Cultural Museum.
13.00 – Lunch.
15.00 – Jungle walk. An excellent opportunity to see the wild animals, small mammals, birds. We wait in the Tower (Machan) to have the wild sightseeing, accompanied by our experienced naturalists and wild life tracker. Excellent photographic opportunities are plentiful.
19.00 – Tharu cultural dance.
20.00 – Dinner
Day-3
06.00 – Wake up call
06.30 – Breakfast.
07.00 – Bird watching. An excellent opportunity to see a great many species of birds found in Bardia.
Visit to Karnali River for Dolphin sightseeing.
12.00 – Lunch
13.30 – Departure for onward journey.
