Also known as “City of Sunlight”, Lhasa, the city of wonders is a towering fortress and one of the world’s highest cities. Kathmandu- Lhasa tour is one of the most popular tours that we operate from Kathmandu. On this marvelous journey we discover the obscure city of Lhasa and travel via Kathmandu-Lhasa highway which contributes to an exciting road trip experience. On the way we visit some wonderful monasteries like sakya monastery and shalu monastery and get enchanted by some picturesque views at shigatse and gyantse.

Starting our trip from Kathmandu we take a spectacular flight to Lhasa over the snowcapped Himalayan Mountains namely Mt. Everest, Malaku and Kanchanjunga. Potala and Norbulinkha palaces, the great Drepung Monastery and Jokhang Temple are some of the magnificent places we will visit at Lhasa and are really insightful places that reflect the culture and history of Tibet.

Potala palace is a towering hill top fortress soaring over the city of Lhasa and was built by the great fifth Dalai Lama in 1648 and is a major attraction of Lhasa. Furthermore, we will walk around the crowded and vibrant Tibetan market- Barkor Bazzar and visit the beautiful town of gyantse, famous for its unique multi storied kumbum stupa with an alluring view of turquoise lake on the way.
