Tamang Heritage trek is one of the newly opened treks which combine an enchanting journey where you can enjoy the magnificent mountain views with the insight into the unique Tamang culture, alpine terrain, green meadows and rhododendron forest.Trekking through Tamang village gives you a wonderful opportunity to closely observe the community’s lifestyle, culture and crafts such as bamboo baskets and mats.

Tamang Heritage trek presents the dramatic views of Langtang Lirung (7245m), Langtang Kerung, Chumse Danda ridge (5122m), Dorje Lakpa (6989m), Jugal Himal, Ganesh Himal, Paldor peak, Shringi Himal, Manaslu and Sanjen Himal ranges. Glaciers of varying sizes and high altitude lakes namely Gosiakunda, Pravatikuda, Bhairavkunda and Dudhkunda are found along the Tamang Heritage trek

Outline Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Day 02: Whole day sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabru besi, Duration: (10-11 hours) and overnight in tea house.

Day 04: Syabru besi trek to Gatlang, Duration: (5 hrs) and overnight in community lodge

Day 05: Gatlang trek to Tatopani, Duration: (6-7 hrs) and overnight in community lodge.

Day 06: Tatopani trek to Thuman, Duration: (6 hrs) and overnight in community lodge

Day 07: Thuman trek to Briddim, Duration: (6 hrs) and overnight in local home.

Day 08: Briddim trek to Lamahotel, Duration: (6 hrs) and overnight in teahouse

Day 09: Lamahotel trek to Langtang, Duration: (6hrs) and overnight in teahouse

Day 10: Langtang trek to Kanjin, Duration: (4 hrs) and overnight in teahouse

Day 11: Kanjin rest day and hike to Langsisa Kharka or Glacier langtang –lirung or hike to Tsherko ri, Elevation: (5000m)

Day 12: Kanjin trek to Lama Hotel, Duration: (6 hours)

Day 13: Lama Hotel trek to Thulosyabru, Duration: (5-6 hours)

Day 14: Thulosyabru trek to Dhunche, Duration: 5 hours

Day 15: Dhunche drive to back Kathmandu, Duration: (6-7 hours).
