NEPAL
Nepal is a landlocked country encapsulated by mountains with a treasure trove in the serene valley at its center. Nepal blossoms with its vivid diversity of culture and nature. The Hindu Nation, Nepal, is blessed with rich cultural and natural heritage. There are total of ten UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Nepal among which eight are cultural heritage and remaining two are natural heritage. Out of eight cultural heritages, seven are located in Kathmandu valley except Lumbini (The birthplace of Gautam Buddha) which is the only cultural heritage site located outside the valley whereas Sagarmatha National Park and Chitwan National Park are listed as natural heritage sites of Nepal.

Cultural Sites

Natural sites
Nepal also is blessed by the geographical diversity. With each region having its own unique diversity; Nepal is home to some of the fantastic wildlife species and vegetation. The tropical forest of Chitwan national park and Himalayan diversity of Sagarmatha national park are the two natural sites included in UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Nepal’s national parks included in the World Heritage sites list are exceptional areas with dramatic mountains, glaciers, deep valleys, wildlife species and undisturbed vestiges.
